Andy Kowalski
Andy studied part-time at the former Leicester Polytechnic, gaining a HNC in Chemistry whilst at the same time working as a technician at Loughborough University. He has gain a wealth of experience working in Organic, Inorganic, Analytical and Microbiology sections within the department.
In 2001 Andy was promoted to co-management of the departmental store. Whilst there, he computerised the numerous manual systems that were in place. By 2004 he was the sole manager of the departmental store.
In 2004 Andy commenced further part-time study in Management at Loughborough College, followed by a diploma in Coaching and Mentoring in 2005.
Andy has sat on the University's Health, Safety, Environment, Equality and Diversity sub-commities as a Unite Union representative. He has also sat on job evaluation panels as part of the University's Operations Committee.
Son of a second world war refugee, Andy is fluent in Polish and has assisted many visiting students during their time in the UK.
Andy has worked as a volunteer in the Loughborough Polish community centre for more than 40 years. He has also represented the community as liason with the local council.


Andy is a big rugby fan and is often out supporting his local team the Leicester Tigers.
Andy will be attending the Wales vs Uruguay game at the Millenium Stadium in Cardiff and is extremely excited about it.
